Tomasi Cama Snr will be well remembered when he galloped like a horse for that crazy try against NZ. He was one of Fijis best players and now his legacy is being carried on by his Son who plays for NZ.
9) Seremaia Burotu
Seremaia Burotu burst onto the 7s scene in 2008, and stamped his mark in London as another rising star of the 7s game. He eventually moved onto European rugby and made a name for himself there and has made it clear he wants to play for Fiji again some day.
8) Setefano Cakau
Setefano Cakau another sensational player to play the game for Fiji and still going good at the age of 36! He burst onto the scene in Brisbane 2003 and has been in and out of the team since and is one of the greatest players to play the game.
Osea Kolinisau a revelation for the Fiji squad with Ben Ryan making him captain and leading by example all the time. Osea grew up playing football during high school, before he decided to make the switch to rugby, he burst onto the scene in 2008 when he debuted in Dubai.
6) Marika Vunibaka
Marika Vunibaka came to prominence as he burst onto the scene as a speedstar for Fiji in 1997 and helped Fiji win the World cup in 1997 and went on later to repeat the same feat in 2005. He played a total of 8 tournaments for Fiji and was in and out of the squad as he had taken up a 15s contract with New Zealand’s high flyers the Crusaders.
5) Vilimoni Delasau
Vilimoni Delasau made his debut for the Fiji 7s team in 1998 and went on to score 82 tries for the 7s squad. He then underlined his immense ability when he ran rings around the New Zealand squad in 2000 at there own backyard. He also won a world cup with the 7s squad in hong kong, when they beat NZ.
4) Pio Tuwai
Pio Tuwai one of the best players for Fiji to play the game along with Serevi. Pio is known as a player with limitless potential. He is known for great handling skills and will be remembered for his pass against New Zealand, when he flicked it out back to Emosi Mulevoro to cross over.
3) William Ryder
William Ryder one of the best steppers to play the game, played a total of 19 tournaments, scored 87 tries, 193 goals and a series points tally of 821. Certainly one of the most exciting players to play the game.
2) Samisoni ViriViri
Samisoni ViriViri the only Fijian player to win the Player Of The Year award, he was the best try scorer on the circuit last year and scored tries at wheel, and he was also one of the fastest players on the circuit last years and was Fiji's main asset in their successful campaigns last season.
1) Waisale Serevi
Waisale Serevi was easily the greatest player to play the game of 7s. His career started in 1989 when he played 7s for the first time in Hong Kong, he then went on to lead Fiji to a 7s world cup crown in Hong Kong with a famous victory over New Zealand. He had started coaching the Fiji 7s team from 2005-07, when he has officially retired in 2007.
